Good Times at D-1 With the Fam (Missed you, Haley!)

You can tell by the sweaty hair that we had a big work out this morning. Carter ranked it at about a 5 out of 10 on the intensity scale. I asked my son, Blake what he thought about it after we were about 15 minutes into it and he said: "It's not easy. That's for sure." My husband, Greg, asked, "What were those up and down things? Burpies? I HATE those!" Kara and I were glad for them to experience the HealthQuest and to understand more how challenging it is. I'm thinking Advil will be consumed by both for the next few days!

Center Hill Lake - Good times....

Look at that gorgeous view from our own private balcony!
Sara and Todd were our hosts - and I must say they did an awesome job!! Love them!
We had two other couples with us, along with Sara's relatives, Brandon and his Mom, Teresa. We had such a great weekend, and made some new friends.
HEY!!!!!!

I just had to post this video of Brandon while he was surfing behind the boat on the lake. (Brandon is a relative of my good friend, Sara.) At one point he even dropped the rope, but continued to "do his thang" on the board! It was absolutely amazing!!! Wish I'd gotten video of him doing flips and other crazy things. It was quite a show!!!

Precious Prayer

This is a sweet video of the children in my class singing a prayer song before snack time. I'm going to miss seeing them this summer!!

(they usually keep their heads bowed the whole time - but they knew i was recording them, the little cuties!)

Blake's baseball season is just beginning!

Blake made the BMS Varsity team, which is quite an accomplishment! This picture is from a game they played downtown at Greer Stadium. Cool, huh?

He is on the same Brentwood Babe Ruth team as last year. They are the Blue Sox and look to be pretty good. I wonder if they will go all the way to the State Tournament again?
He plays catcher and loves it. I can't imagine why! There are bats swingin' and balls flyin' by....

Kara's playing softball...

and Greg is one of the coaches! This group is THE CUTEST! Most haven't played ball in years, but they have hung in there and done a pretty good job!
